Chaos Mesh
Cloud-native chaos engineering platform for Kubernetes that injects controlled faults - pod, network, I/O, and more - to test how a system actually behaves under failure.

Overview
Chaos Mesh is an open-source chaos engineering platform for Kubernetes, now a CNCF incubating project. Rather than waiting for production incidents to reveal how a system handles failure, it lets a team define fault-injection experiments as Kubernetes custom resources - killing pods, injecting network latency or packet loss, corrupting I/O, or simulating cloud-provider outages - and observe how the system actually responds.
Experiments can run once or on a recurring Schedule, be composed into multi-step Workflows, and are paired with StatusCheck resources so an experiment can automatically verify whether the system stayed healthy, with a web dashboard for creating and inspecting runs across a cluster.
Chaos Mesh is a fit for teams running production Kubernetes workloads who want to validate resilience and failure handling deliberately, rather than discovering gaps in retry logic, timeouts, or failover during a real outage.
