Overview
Strimzi packages Apache Kafka (also in this catalog) and its surrounding components as Kubernetes custom resources and operators, automating cluster provisioning, topic and user management, upgrades, and scaling that would otherwise require manual Kafka administration expertise. A team manages Kafka the same way they manage any other Kubernetes workload.
Strimzi is a fit for teams that want to run Kafka on Kubernetes without operating it by hand, a Kubernetes-operator layer on top of Kafka itself rather than a replacement for it.
