MockServer
HTTP(S) mock server and proxy for testing that lets you simulate API responses, inspect live traffic, and inject failures.
- Actively maintained
- Well documented
- Permissive license
Overview
MockServer intercepts and responds to HTTP(S) requests with configured mock responses, so a team can test against dependencies that don't exist yet, are unreliable, or are hard to reproduce error conditions with - including injecting timeouts, malformed responses, or specific failure codes on demand. It can also run as a proxy to record and modify live traffic.
MockServer is a fit for teams writing integration tests that depend on external APIs, complementing Hoppscotch (also in this catalog), which is built for manually exploring and calling APIs rather than mocking them for automated tests.
