Sylius

Open-source ecommerce framework built on Symfony, designed for highly customized commerce applications with a strong testing culture and REST API.

Overview

Sylius is an open-source ecommerce framework built on top of Symfony, aimed at teams that need a commerce application tailored closely to their own business logic rather than a fixed, all-in-one platform. It's built with a strong behavior-driven-development (BDD) testing culture using PHPUnit and Behat, and exposes a REST API for integrations and custom frontend experiences.

As a framework rather than a turnkey application, Sylius is meant to be extended and customized at the code level to fit specific business requirements; Sylius Plus is a separate, commercial layer that adds modules like one-page checkout, a B2B suite, multi-store management, and loyalty features for teams that want those capabilities without building them.

Sylius is a fit for PHP/Symfony teams that want a customizable commerce foundation to build on, rather than configuring a fixed ecommerce platform - it fills a gap for the current catalog, which otherwise has no PHP-based commerce option.
