WooCommerce
Customizable open-source ecommerce platform built on WordPress -- turn a WordPress site into an online store for physical goods, digital products or subscriptions.
- Actively maintained
- Well documented
Overview
WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin that adds a complete online store: product catalog, cart and checkout, inventory, taxes, shipping, coupons, customer accounts and order management. Because it runs inside WordPress, store pages, content and blog live in the same site and can use the same themes and editor.
A large extension ecosystem covers payment gateways, subscriptions, bookings, memberships and marketplace integrations, and a REST API plus block-based checkout support custom builds. A fit for businesses and agencies that already use WordPress, or that want a self-hosted store with a huge pool of themes, plugins and developers to draw on.
